About Ram

I'm Ram Kaashyap Prasanna — a data scientist working in fintech, where I focus on credit risk modeling: building and monitoring the models that decide how lending decisions get made, from scorecard development through post-implementation monitoring.

Before moving into consumer lending, I worked in tele-psychiatry, where I built one of my first LLM-powered products — an FAQ chatbot — back when GPT-3 was the new thing. That mix has shaped how I work: rigorous, regulated modeling on one side, and a habit of chasing whatever new technology looks genuinely useful on the other.

Outside of work I build iOS apps for game nights with friends, and I write about data science projects, books, and events on the blog — everything from scraping Reddit to predict Tesla's stock price to notes on credit risk scorecards.
